 ent organized by CECAM\, NCCR Marvel and the Equal Opportunities Office wh
 ere Mary Ann Mansigh Karlsen\, computer pioneer\, will tell you more of he
 r career in breaking through gender barriers and supporting the physics re
 search done at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL).\n \nFor org

 esentation in English\, between 12:15 and 13:00\, followed by informal dis

 us her fascinating story\, sharing her experiences as a coder at Livermore
  over a period of almost thirty years\, and providing a unique insight on 
 the scientific and technological development of computer simulation from t
 he early days of molecular dynamics in the late 1950\, to the mid 1980s. (
