DESCRIPTION:The ForestValue Research Programme has launched a transnationa
 l joint call for proposals for research\, development and innovation in th
 e forest-based sector with a financial commitment from participating natio
 nal research programmes and the EU. The primary purpose of the joint call 
 is to contribute to transforming the global economy from a dependence on f
 ossil and non-renewable raw materials to a sustainable “bio-based econom
 y”. The aim is to support projects that will address the development and
 /or proof of concepts on novel strategies\, methods\, processes or product
 s designed to support the forestry and forest-based industries. Two areas 
 will be addressed: A. Innovative sustainable management of multifunctional
  forests\; B. Innovative industrial production and processing technologies
 \, products\, concepts and services.\n \nConsortia must include independe
 nt entities applying for funding from at least three different countries. 
 Each consortium partner is funded by its national funding body\, for Switz
 erland Innosuisse/CTI (Federal Department of Economic Affairs FDEA) and th
 e Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN). Applicants MUST contact their
  national contacts prior submission\, as national specifications apply and
  additional application documents are required (see the call document). At
  least one company and one ‘not-for-profit' research institution should 
 be involved in a funded project.\n \nFunding and duration\nFunding amount
 : not specified\, Innosuisse/CTI and FOEN budgets are ca. 1 Million CHF ea
 ch (range of funding is 100 to 600 kCHF)\nDuration: between 24 and 36 mont
