 bjectifs\nThis participative workshop is designed to support participants 
 in becoming excellent speakers. Specifically\, it will assist you with:\n\
 n	Effectively employing verbal and non-verbal skills for 2-directional com
 munication\n	Conveying more confidence and assurance\n	Preparing for quest
 ions\n	Strategies for communicating across disciplinary or cultural groups
 \n	Designing presentations to support a clear\, memorable take-away messag
 e\n	Identifying a few key areas for you to improve your presentation skill
 s\n\n \nApproach\nParticipants will work individually and in small groups
  on a variety of reflective and practical exercises designed to assist the
 m in transferring the skills to their own presentations. Each participant 
 will give a 5-minute presentation on her research\, or an aspect of her wo
 rk\, which will be video-recorded. Constructive\, individual feedback is a

 partner institutions. Registration is done online and opens 6 weeks before
  the course begins:  http://www.unifr.ch/regard  \nThe REGARD programme 
 is addressed to young female academics of the next generation and for wome
 n professors of the universities of French-speaking Switzerland\, HES-SO a
 nd EPFL. The REGARD programme is organized by the gender equality offices 
 those institutions.  \nThe objective of the REGARD program is to develop 
 skills and offer concrete tools for career management and supervision. The
 se workshops also create spaces for discussion and exchange of experiences
  among researchers. They also aim to increase awareness of gender equality
  issues in academic careers. \n
