DESCRIPTION:Since 1993\, the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences (SAMS) has 
 been supporting projects in neurological sciences with resources from the 
 Théodore Ott Fund\, physician and Professor of Neurology in Lausanne (190
 9 – 1991).\n \nWho:\n\n	Applications may be submitted by research group
 s or\, preferably\, by young neuroscientists (< 45 years old by the submis
 sion deadline).\n	In accordance with the donor’s will\, Swiss researcher
 s have priority for funding.\n\n \nWhat:\n\n\n	Research projects in clini
 cal or translational neurology.\n	Projects must be carried out at a Swiss 
 higher education institution.\n	Short research stays abroad are possible d
 uring the grant period to strengthen international cooperation.\n\n\nFundi
 ng: max. CHF 80'000.– per project.\nIf desired\, the granted amount can 
 be used to cover the main applicant’s salary.\n \nDuration: max. 3 year
 s\n \nNext submission deadline: 1 April 2018\nEarliest project start: 1 S
