DESCRIPTION:This instrument\, set up by ETH Zurich and the Japanese Societ
 y for the Promotion of Science (JSPS)\, funds the exchange of young scient
 ists between Japan and Switzerland. The Swiss State Secretariat for Educat
 ion\, Research and Innovation (SERI) commissioned ETH Zurich as the Leadin
 g House for research stays of 3-6 months at a research group in Japan.\n\n
 Who can apply\n\n	PhD students (Master students and young postdocs in exce
 ptional cases) from all scientific fields currently working in research gr
 oups at Swiss universities\, universities of applied sciences or research 
 institutes.\n	Host researchers must be employed full-time (excluding jokyo
 \, assistant professor and joshu\, research assistant) at an eligible inst
 itution in Japan.\n\n \nWho can NOT apply\n\n\n	Applicants with Japanese 
 nationality.\n	Applicants who have already been selected under JSPS’s Po
 stdoctoral Fellowships for Foreign Researchers.\n\n \nFunding (from JSPS)
  covers:\n- Monthly allowance of JPY 220’000\n- International air ticket
 \n- Overseas travel insurance\n \nDeadline: 20 May 2018\nDecision: August
