DESCRIPTION:FreeNovation provides funding opportunities for innovative\, s
 ubstantial-risk projects that have the potential to open up novel research
  directions and aim beyond incremental innovation and discovery. Proposals
  need to be particularly original and hard to fund by conventional funding
  programs due to the “unorthodox” character of the idea or absence of 
 a long-standing academic reputation held by the researchers. Reviews are a
 nonymous to give a better chance to young scientists and unconventional id
 eas. Multidisciplinary research may have higher chances of success.\n \nS
 pecificities: Projects should be relevant to biomedical research with an u
 ltimate aim to provide innovative healthcare solutions for patients in the
  following fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI):\n\n	AI in drug discover
 y\n	AI in clinical development and medical practice\n	AI and the patient\n
 \nA presentation of each field is available on the call website. \n \nEli
 gibility:\n\n\n	Up to 2 applicants.\n	PhD or equivalent.\n	Letter of Insti
 tutional Support.\n\n\n\n	Employed at a reputable healthcare or healthcare
 -related organization\, incl. universities or universities of applied scie
 nce in Switzerland.\n\n \nFunding and Duration: up to CHF 180’000 for 1
