DESCRIPTION:The Swiss Space Office of the State Secretariat for Education\
 , Research and Innovation (SERI/SSO) launches the 5th MdP Call for Proposa
 ls (“Mesure de Positionnement” or positioning measure) and has mandate
 d the Swiss Space Center to implement it. The main objectives are to foste
 r and promote Swiss technological and scientific competences that have a c
 lear potential for space products and services/applications. More particul
 arly\, this Call for proposals aims:\n- to foster the development of innov
 ative ideas and new products\n- to promote the collaboration between Swiss
  industrial and academic partners\n- to better position Swiss industry wit
 h regard to future European and worldwide activities\n- to increase the te
 chnological maturity of ideas developed by academia and to promote competi
 tive Space products thanks to partnerships with industry\n \nProposals sh
 ould be submitted by Swiss academic institutions in partnership with an en
 terprise incorporated in Switzerland and with proven development activitie
 s in the country. The 2018 Call is also open to Austrian academic and indu
 strial entities\, with no more than 1 Austrian partner in a consortium. Co
 operation with partners from other countries can be envisaged and must be 
 duly explained in the proposal.\n \nFunding and duration\nFunding amount:
  max. 250’000 CHF (for salaries\, travel and subsistence expenses)\; Aus
 trian partners\, if any\, will be funded directly by the Austrian Space Ag
 ency (FFG/ALR)\, up to 100.000 EUR which is part of the 250’000 CHF budg
 et\nDuration: max. 15 months\n \nDeadlines\nSubmission deadline: April 25
