DESCRIPTION:The Doctoral Exchange Grants of the ZKS Foundation support col
 laborative inter-university doctoral top research in the fields of enginee
 ring\, environmental sciences (which includes bioengineering\, but not lif
 e science or biology)\, medieval disciplines including medieval studies\, 
 as well as research in digital humanities at the intersection of medieval 
 disciplines and computing.\n \nAim: to encourage research collaboration b
 etween two universities\, namely the home university of the doctoral candi
 date and a hosting university\, one of the two preferably situated in Swit
 zerland. The grant will cover travel and local living costs of the candida
 te while visiting the hosting university or research institute exclusively
 \, plus flat rate economy-class return airfare/train ticket from the home 
 university to the hosting university.\n \nFunding: a stipend of CHF 2’5
 00 per month to defray local living expenses at the hosting university\, p
 lus agreed economy-class return airfare/train ticket from the home to the 
 hosting university\, plus limited research expenditures for the duration o
 f the stay at the hosting university or research institute.\nPlease note t
 hat the applicant cannot receive any other source of funding included assi
 stant salary.\n \nDuration: 4-12 months\n \nDeadlines: 15 March and 15 S
