DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Breast Cancer D
 istinguished Investigator Awards. These Awards will enable established vis
 ionary leaders from any field to pursue innovative ideas that could accele
 rate progress toward ending breast cancer. These individuals should be exc
 eptionally talented researchers who have shown that they are leaders in th
 eir field(s) through extraordinary creativity\, vision\, and productivity.
  The central feature of the Distinguished Investigator Award is that the P
 I must propose research that is a fundamental\, conceptual shift from his/
 her track record of research. High-risk/high-reward applications with limi
 ted preliminary data are welcomed\, but not required. All applications mus
 t include a well-formulated\, testable hypothesis based on strong scientif
 ic rationale.\n \nFunding: Maximum USD $3’000’000\n \nEligibility: A
 pplicants from international organizations or institutions are eligible to
  apply\, and there are no citizenship restrictions. Applicants must be at 
 or above the level of Assistant Professor.\n \nHow to Apply: Pre-applicat
 ions are submitted through the eBRAP platform. They should contain contact
  information\, a preproposal narrative\, supporting documentation\, and a 
 list of collaborators and key personnel as suggested on the platform. Full
  applications (by invitation) will be made via a Grants.gov workspace. Ful
