DESCRIPTION:The University of St. Gallen\, through its Centro Latinoameric
 ano-Suizo (CLS-HSG)\, has been mandated by the State Secretariat for Educa
 tion\, Research and Innovation (SERI)\, to act as Leading House granting i
 ncentives and developing joint research cooperation programs with the Lati
 n American region.\n \nThe 2018 Call for Seed Money Grants & Mobility Gra
 nts is now open!\n \nDEADLINE: 16 June 2018\n\nSEED MONEY GRANTS\n\n	Aim:
  strengthen or initiate scientific exchanges between researchers from Swis
 s and Latin American institutions in all disciplines by enabling them to j
 ointly undertake preliminary research and organize meetings\, conferences 
 and workshops. Seed Money Grants are particularly useful to develop joint 
 project proposals for large funding agencies in Latin America\, Switzerlan
 d and Europe or to combine already existing and independently funded proje
 cts in Switzerland and the partner countries in order to create long lasti
 ng cooperation.\n	Who can apply: any researcher holding a position at an e
 ligible Swiss institution\, except for MA and PhD students whose proposal 
 must be submitted by their supervisor. 2017 Grantees can apply again but w
 ith a different project.\n	Funding: up to CHF 25\,000.\n	\n		Eligible cost
 s: project-related costs\, travels\, workshops\, conferences\, consumables
 \, accommodation\, equipment\, fieldwork\, essential software.\n		Does NOT
  cover: salaries\, tuition fees\, overheads\, outsourced services and hard
 ware.\n		Co-funding from both Swiss and LAC partners is expected.\n	\n	\n	
 Duration: 10-12 months\n	Application form and guidelines are available on 
 the call website.\n\n\nMOBILITY GRANTS\n\n\n	Aim: promotes the integration
  of the next generation of scientists in international collaboration\, hel
 ping to build new partnerships through personal contacts\, mutual trust\, 
 and to make cooperation more sustainable.\n	Who can apply: researchers enr
 olled in a PhD or Postdoc program.\n	Funding: up to CHF 8\,000.\n	\n		Elig
 ible costs: travel expenses\, accommodation and consumables\, fieldwork.\n
 		Does NOT cover: salaries\, visa\, health\, private insurance and overhea
 ds.\n	\n	\n	Duration: up to 3 months\n	Application form and guidelines are
