DESCRIPTION:The Synapsis Foundation – Alzheimer Research Switzerland ARS
  supports innovative fundamental and clinical research on Alzheimer’s di
 sease and other neurodegenerative disorders. The Foundation welcomes high-
 risk proposals based on sound science and truly original ideas related to 
 the following topics:\n\n	Research in genetics\, molecular and cell biolog
 y of Alzheimer’s disease or neurodegenerative disorders.\n	Innovative cl
 inical approaches towards the pre-symptomatic diagnosis or therapeutic int
 erventions in neurodegenerative diseases.\n\n \nDEADLINE: 31 July (every 
 year)\n \nRESEARCH GRANTS FOR PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATORS\nWho can apply: ind
 ependent principal investigators at Swiss Universities and Research Instit
 utions.\nFunding: up to CHF 300’000 for up to 3 years. Does NOT cover ov

 Who can apply: advanced postdoctoral researchers at Swiss Universities and
  Research Institutions\, seeking to establish themselves as independent.\n
 Funding: CHF 100’000 per year for 4 years:\n\n\n	1-2 years of PostDoc in
  a host laboratory in Switzerland.\n	2-3 years in an independent faculty p
 osition in Switzerland or EMBO member countries.\n\nDoes NOT cover overhea
