DESCRIPTION:The SAMS and the Swiss National Science Foundation\, with the 
 support of private foundations and in collaboration with the Swiss School 
 of Public Health\, award each year a limited number of competitive MD-PhD 
 scholarships. MD-PhD scholarships enable young physicians to complete a do
 ctoral research training in natural sciences\, public health sciences\, cl
 inical research or biomedical ethics at a Swiss university. Applicants sho
 uld aim at becoming experts in translational medicine and at contributing 
 to evidence-based medicine.\n  \nDuration: 2-3 years (earliest start: 1.
 09.2019)\n \nWho can apply:\n\n	Graduates in human\, veterinary or dental
  medicine who have been admitted as doctoral students (at least 80% FTE) i
 n the local MD-PhD program of a Swiss university.\n	Residents of Switzerla
 nd for at least 2 years.\n\n \nEligible costs: salary of the grantee (CHF
  55’044)\, including 16% social charges.\n \nDeadline: 15 December (eve
