DESCRIPTION:The 2018 Call for Proposals for SERI Visiting Research Fellows
 hips with sub-Saharan Africa is now open!\n \nThe Swiss State Secretariat
  for Education\, Research and Innovation (SERI) has commissioned Swiss TPH
  with support from the University of Basel as the Leading House for its bi
 lateral collaboration with partner institutions in sub-Saharan Africa. Aim
  of the call: advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)\, especia
 lly with regards to Climate Change\, Global and Environmental Health\, Mig
 ration\, Nanosciences and the Social Sciences.\n \nFunding: CHF 70’000\
 n \nFor what: visiting fellowships from advanced PHD students and early p
 ostdoctoral researchers from sub-Saharan Africa or Switzerland that cover 
 stays in research groups at a sub-Saharan African or Swiss University or r
 esearch institution. The visit is expected to lead to further joint work a
 nd an intensified institutional relation.\n \nEligible costs: research fu
 nds (e.g. travel\, living allowance\, accommodation\, board cost\, field e
 xpenses\, expendable items and consumables)\, equipment and mobility stipe
 nds.\nDoes NOT cover: overheads\, books\, PCs\, rental costs.\nPlease\, ha

 osts.\n \nDuration: 3-15 months (earliest starting date: 11.08.2018)\n \
 nWho can apply: \n\n	Researchers with PhD degree or having submitted their
  doctoral thesis.\n	Employed by the home institution based in sub-Saharan 
 Africa or Switzerland before\, during and after the visit.\n\n \nDeadline
