DESCRIPTION:The Leenaards Foundation supports Translational Medical Resear
 ch at the university hospitals in the Lake Geneva region carried out in co
 llaboration with other academic institutions. The aim is to strengthen str
 uctural links between clinical and basic research.\n\nAim: the Leenaards P
 rize for Translational Medical Research will be granted to projects that i
 nvestigate a clinical problem from an original and innovative angle\, link
 ing it to a component of advanced basic research\, be it experimental rese
 arch\, bioinformatics or epidemiological analyses. The project must includ
 e a human research component.\n\nSpecificities\n\n	Research must be done i
 n collaboration between 2-3 applicants: at least one university hospital a
 nd one academic institution of the Lake Geneva Region\; a third applicant 
 may be based outside of this perimeter.\n	The PI will be a clinical scient
 ist (MD\, MD-PhD\, or PhD\, below age of 45).\n	Applicants should preferab
 ly be at a relatively early stage in their careers.\n	All applicants must 
 hold a “stable position” for the entire duration of the project.\n	The
  Prize is not renewable.\n\nDuration: up to 3 years.\n \nFunding: between
  CHF 500’000 and 750’000.\n \nApplication: \n\n\n	Deadline for Letter
