DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Peer Reviewed M
 edical Research Program (PRMRP) for 2018. The vision of the FY18 PRMRP is 
 to improve the health and well-being of all military Service members\, Vet
 erans\, and beneficiaries. The intent of the PRMRP Discovery Award is to s
 upport innovative\, non-incremental\, high-risk/potentially high-reward re
 search that will provide new insights\, paradigms\, technologies\, or appl
 ications. Studies supported by this award are expected to lay the groundwo
 rk for future avenues of scientific investigation. The proposed research p
 roject should include a well-formulated\, testable hypothesis based on a s
 ound scientific rationale and study design.\n \nAll applications for PRMR
 P funding must specifically address at least one of the Topic Areas. The F
 Y18 PRMRP Topic Areas are listed at the end of this announcement.\n \nFun
 ding: Maximum USD $200’000\n \nEligibility: Applicants from internation
 al organizations or institutions are eligible to apply\, and there are no 
 citizenship restrictions. Investigators at the level of postdoctoral fello
 w or above are eligible to submit applications.\n \nHow to Apply: Pre-app
 lications are submitted through the eBRAP platform. They should contain co
 ntact information\, a list of collaborators and key personnel\, and a lett
 er of intent as suggested on the platform. Full applications (by invitatio
