DESCRIPTION:As part of a reciprocal exchange\, the Ministry of Education\,
  Culture\, Sports\, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan offers 1 -2 sch
 olarships to Switzerland in all fields of study for the 2019 academic year
 . The aim is to foster human resources who will become bridges of friendsh
 ip between the grantee’s country and Japan and who will contribute to th
 e development of both countries and the wider world.\n \nEligibility for 
 doctoral scholarships: \n\n	MA or professional degree in Japan or overseas
  OR\n	Graduate students who have been involved in research study at univer
 sities or research centres for 2+ years OR\n	Students recognized as having
  academic abilities equivalent to or better than master’s degree or prof
 essional degree holders in an individual entrance qualification examinatio
 n conducted by the host graduate school in Japan\, and who have reached 24
  years of age.\n	Born on or after April 2\, 1984.\n	Are NOT eligible:\n	\n
 		Japanese nationals.\n		Students enrolled in a Japanese university when t
 he scholarship begins.\n		Students receiving other scholarship money on to
 p of MEXT funding.\n	\n	\n\n \nArrival in Japan: early April or early Oct
 ober 2019\nA change in the arrival period is not permitted after the submi
 ssion of the Application.\n \nFunding:\n\n\n	Allowance: 145\,000 yen per 
 month.\n	Fees for the entrance examination\, matriculation\, and tuition a
 t universities.\n	Travelling expenses to and from Japan.\n\n \nDeadline:
