DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Bone Marrow Fai
 lure Research Program (BMFRP) for 2018. The Idea Development Award support
 s innovative ideas and high-impact approaches based on scientifically soun
 d evidence to move toward the BMFRP vision of understanding and curing BMF
  diseases.  This award mechanism is designed to support new ideas.  Prop
 osed research studies should have a high probability of revealing new aven
 ues of investigation.  The research project should include a well-formula
 ted\, testable hypothesis based on strong scientific rationale and a well-
 developed and articulated research approach.  Personnel on the proposed t
 eam should have a strong background in BMF disease research.\n \nFunding:
  Maximum USD $ 325’000\n \nDuration: 2 years\n \nEligibility: Applican
 ts from international organizations or institutions are eligible to apply\
 , and there are no citizenship restrictions. Investigators at or above the
  level of Assistant Professor are eligible to submit applications. Those 
 ≥ 10 years from their terminal degree should apply as Established Invest
 igators\, and < 10 years from the terminal degree should apply as Early Ca
 reer Investigators.\n \nHow to Apply: Pre-applications are submitted thro
 ugh the eBRAP platform. They should contain contact information\, a list o
 f collaborators and key personnel\, a proposal narrative\, and supporting 
 documents as suggested on the platform. Full applications (by invitation)
