DESCRIPTION:The Swiss Personalized Health Network (SPHN) is launching his 
 2nd and last call for proposals\, aimed at the development of a nationwide
  interoperable research infrastructure ecosystem for competitive personali
 zed health research. Grants are awarded for projects aiming at the develop
 ment\, implementation and validation of data infrastructures that allow co
 nnecting research institutions and hospitals to share and use health-relat
 ed data across Switzerland. In order to make the best use of the available
  resources\, the SPHN call for proposals is coordinated with the ETH Domai
 n Strategic Focus Area in Personalized Health and Related Technologies (PH
 RT).\n\nA total of up to CHF 9.3 million will be made available to support
  the following project categories:\n\n(1) Infrastructure development proje
 cts\n    Funding amount: max. CHF 500k\n    Duration: max. 12 mont
 hs (unless required otherwise for technical reasons)\n\n(2) Driver project
 s\n    Funding amount: max. CHF 1.5 million\n    Duration: max. 36
  months\n\nEarliest starting date is January 2019.\n\nProject activities t
 aking place within the scope of the ETH-Domain Strategic Focus Area PHRT c
 an request additional funding from the PHRT program.\n\nSee PHRT Memento f
 or details. In case of SPHN-PHRT joint applications\, the same application
  must be submitted in parallel to both programs.\n\nFor each funding reque
 st to SPHN\, a Commitment Letter from the Hosting Institution is required.
  This letter will be delivered providing that all necessary documents are
