DESCRIPTION:The Swiss Industry Science Fund (SISF)\, the former Kontaktgru
 ppe für Forschungsfragen – KGF\, promotes scientific excellence in rese
 arch and education in Switzerland\, within the scope of its member compani
 es: BASF\, Novartis\, Roche and Syngenta.\n \nSISF supports:\n\n	Scientif
 ic conferences\, organizations\, awards and special events in basic and ap
 plied research\, for education and further development of students and sci
 entists.\n	Scientific areas covered include biology\, chemistry and associ
 ated disciplines\, with a focus on pharmaceutical R&D\, life sciences and 
 material sciences.\n	Events must take place in Switzerland or nearby regio
 ns\, and call for a substantial and active participation of Swiss-based sc
 ientists.\n	Preference will be given to events open to broad\, rather than
