DESCRIPTION:To improve the prevention and treatment of infectious disease\
 , and to promote the appropriate and effective use of antimicrobial agents
 \, the British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (BSAC) awards resear
 ch grants and doctoral fellowships worldwide in the following areas of int
 erest\, as well as grants for short-term visits to the UK to institutions 
 and individuals.\n \n\nPROJECT GRANTS\n\n	Funding: £15\,000 for up to 1 
 year. No co-funding.\n	For what: pump priming projects\, introducing a nov
 el technique for existing work\, supporting a change in direction of an es
 tablished project\, funding for trainees for projects/training. Cross-disc
