DESCRIPTION:With resources from the Käthe Zingg-Schwichtenberg Fund\, the
  SAMS supports research projects in biomedical ethics – particularly cli
 nical and public health ethics – through annual calls.\n \nThe 2018 cal
 l for proposals is aimed at empirical or theoretical research projects inv
 estigating the topic of “Coercion in medical practice” from an ethical
 \, philosophical\, social\, scientific or medical perspective. Preference 
 will be given to less well studied areas than psychiatry and the managemen
 t of the elderly. The project results should\, as far as possible\, contri
 bute to the SAMS guidelines on «Coercive measures in medicine».\n \nRes
 trictions: \n\n	The project must have a link to Switzerland.\n	Funding wil
 l NOT be provided for projects already underway.\n\n \nFunding & Duration
 :\n\n\n	max. CHF 250'000 for up to 2 years (requests for a longer period m
 ust be justified).\n	Eligible costs: PI’s salary and/or project costs.\n
 \n \nDeadline: 15 August 2018\nDecision: 20 December 2018\nEarliest start
