DESCRIPTION:Fondation Leducq is a private charitable foundation\, based in
  Paris\, dedicated to improving human health through international efforts
  to combat cardiovascular and neurovascular disease. In support of this mi
 ssion\, Fondation Leducq has created the Transatlantic Networks of Excelle
 nce in Cardiovascular and Neurovascular Research Program\, which promotes 
 internationally collaborative basic\, translational\, and clinical researc
 h in cardiovascular and neurovascular disease. The proposals should aim to
  generate new knowledge with the potential to advance the diagnosis\, prev
 ention\, and treatment of cardiovascular and neurovascular disease. It sho
 uld be high risk\, but not speculative\, and oriented to long-term goals.\
 n \nWho can apply:\n\n	An international team of 3-6 researchers\, affilia
 ted with an academic research centre worldwide\, having complementary mult
 idisciplinary expertise and resources.\n	The team must be led by 2 coordin
 ators\, one based in Europe and the other in North America.\n	The particip
 ation of an early-career researcher (from postdocs to recently appointed f
 aculty) will be positively evaluated.\n	The network may include members fr
 om fields outside of cardiovascular and neurovascular research\, such as o
 ther medical specialties\, physics\, engineering or information technology
 .\n\n \nFunding & Duration: up to USD 6\,000\,000 over 5 years.\n\n\n	Eli
 gible costs are presented at p. 7 of the programme guidelines.\n	Non-eligi
 ble costs\, including overheads\, are listed here.\n	Applicants must show 
 that other peer review funding has been secured.\n\n \nDeadline:\n\n\n	De
 adline for Letter of Intent: 5 September 2018 (apply via proposalCENTRAL\,
  following the programme guidelines\, the LoI instructions and the FAQs).\
 n	Deadline for Full Proposals: 14 February 2019 (only shortlisted applican
 ts – approx. 14 out of 100-120 - will be invited to submit a full propos
