DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Spinal Cord Inj
 ury Research Program (SCIRP) for 2018. The intent of the SCIRP Translation
 al Research Award is to support translational research that will accelerat
 e the movement of promising ideas in SCI research into clinical applicatio
 ns. Although not all-inclusive\, some examples include demonstration studi
 es of pharmaceuticals and medical devices in preclinical systems and/or cl
 inical research on therapeutics\, devices\, or practice using human tissue
 s or resources. \n \nTo meet the intent of the award mechanism\, all app
 lications must address at least one or more of the FY18 SCIRP TRA Focus Ar
 eas\, which are listed at the end of this announcement.\n \nFunding: Maxi
 mum USD $ 1’250’000\n \nDuration: 3 years\n \nEligibility: Applicant
 s from international organizations or institutions are eligible to apply\,
  and there are no citizenship restrictions. Independent investigators at a
 ll academic levels are eligible to submit applications.\n \nHow to Apply:
