DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Spinal Cord Inj
 ury Research Program (SCIRP) for 2018. The intent of the SCIRP Clinical Tr
 ial Award is to support the rapid implementation of clinical trials with t
 he potential to have a significant impact on the treatment or management o
 f SCI. Clinical trials may be designed to evaluate promising new products\
 , pharmacologic agents (drugs or biologics)\, devices\, clinical guidance\
 , and/or emerging approaches and technologies. Proposed projects may range
  from small proof-of-concept trials (e.g.\, pilot\, first in human\, Phase
  0) to demonstrate feasibility or inform the design of more advanced trial
 s through large-scale trials to determine efficacy in relevant patient pop
 ulations.\n \nTo meet the intent of the award mechanism\, all application
 s must address at least one or more of the FY18 SCIRP CTA Focus Areas\, wh
 ich are listed at the end of this announcement.\n \nFunding: Maximum USD 
 $ 3’000’000\n \nDuration: 4 years\n \nEligibility: Applicants from i
 nternational organizations or institutions are eligible to apply\, and the
 re are no citizenship restrictions. Independent investigators at all acade
 mic levels are eligible to submit applications.\n \nHow to Apply: Pre-app
 lications are submitted through the eBRAP platform. They should contain co
 ntact information\, a list of collaborators and key personnel\, a proposal
  narrative\, and supporting documents as suggested on the platform. Full a
