DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Hearing Restora
 tion Research Program (HRRP) for 2018. The intent of the HRRP Focused Rese
 arch Award is to support applied research that will advance the diagnosis 
 and treatment of auditory dysfunction where hearing sensitivity may be wit
 hin normal limits but the individual’s capacity to listen and understand
  speech is substantially impaired. Successful proposals will include the d
 evelopment and/or validation of techniques and methods to assess and/or tr
 eat auditory dysfunction as related to synaptopathy\, hidden hearing loss\
 , and central auditory processing disorders.\n \nFunding: Maximum USD $ 1
 ’000’000\n \nDuration: 3 years\n \nEligibility: Applicants from inte
 rnational organizations or institutions are eligible to apply\, and there 
 are no citizenship restrictions. Independent investigators at all academic
  levels are eligible to submit applications.\n \nHow to Apply: Pre-applic
 ations are submitted through the eBRAP platform. They should contain conta
 ct information\, a list of collaborators and key personnel\, a proposal na
 rrative\, and supporting documents as suggested on the platform. Full appl
