DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Hearing Restora
 tion Research Program (HRRP) for 2018. The intent of the HRRP Translationa
 l Research Award is to support translational research that will accelerate
  the movement of promising laboratory research relevant to hearing restora
 tion into clinical applications. Successful proposals will address one of 
 two focus areas:\n\n	Developing reliable in vitro human models for evaluat
 ing hearing restoration therapies.\n	Accelerating translation of biologica
 l regeneration mechanisms into therapies that restore auditory function.\n
 \n \nFunding: Maximum USD $ 1’000’000\n \nDuration: 3 years\n \nEli
 gibility: Applicants from international organizations or institutions are 
 eligible to apply\, and there are no citizenship restrictions. Independent
  investigators at all academic levels are eligible to submit applications.
 \n \nHow to Apply: Pre-applications are submitted through the eBRAP platf
 orm. They should contain contact information\, a list of collaborators and
  key personnel\, a proposal narrative\, and supporting documents as sugges
 ted on the platform. Full applications (by invitation) will be made via a
