DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Peer Reviewed A
 lzheimer’s Research Program (PRARP) for 2018. The intent of the PRARP Qu
 ality of Life Research Award is to support preclinical\, basic\, epidemiol
 ogical\, or quality-of-life research to alleviate or characterize the comm
 on symptoms of traumatic brain injury and Alzheimer’s disease. The resea
 rch impact for the FY18 PRARP QUAL is expected to benefit the military\, V
 eteran\, and civilian communities.\n \nApplications must address one or m
 ore of the FY18 PRARP QUAL Overarching Challenges. In addition\, applicati
 ons should address at least one of the following FY18 PRARP QUAL Focus Are
 as. These Challenges and Focus Areas are listed at the end of this announc
 ement.\n \nFunding: Maximum USD $ 500’000\n \nDuration: 3 years\n \nE
 ligibility: Applicants from international organizations or institutions ar
 e eligible to apply\, and there are no citizenship restrictions. Investiga
 tors at the level of Assistant Professor or higher are eligible to submit 
 applications.  \n \nHow to Apply: Pre-applications are submitted through
  the eBRAP platform. They should contain contact information\, a list of c
 ollaborators and key personnel\, a letter of intent\, and supporting docum
 ents as suggested on the platform. Full applications (by invitation) will
