DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Peer Reviewed A
 lzheimer’s Research Program (PRARP) for 2018. The intent of the PRARP Re
 search Partnership Award is to create an avenue for collaborative research
  partnerships between investigators to address a research problem or quest
 ion in a manner that would be unachievable through separate efforts. The s
 uccess of the project must be supported by the unique skills and contribut
 ions of each partner.\n \nIn addition to supporting basic research\, FY18
  PRARP RPA applications proposing preclinical research are acceptable. Pre
 liminary data to support the feasibility of the research hypothesis (or hy
 potheses) and research approaches are required. The research impact for th
 e FY18 PRARP RPA is expected to benefit the military\, Veteran\, and civil
 ian communities.\n \nApplications must address one or more of the FY18 PR
 ARP RPA Overarching Challenges. In addition\, applications should address 
 at least one of the following FY18 PRARP RPA Focus Areas. These Challenges
  and Focus Areas are listed at the end of this announcement.\n \nFunding:
  Maximum USD $ 1’300’000\n \nDuration: 3 years\n \nEligibility: Appl
 icants from international organizations or institutions are eligible to ap
 ply\, and there are no citizenship restrictions. Investigators at the leve
 l of Assistant Professor or higher are eligible to submit applications.  
 A minimum of two investigators (i.e.\, partners) must jointly design a sin
 gle research project\; one will submit as PI and the others as Co-PIs. Mul
 ti-institutional research is encouraged but not required.\n \nHow to Appl
 y: Pre-applications are submitted through the eBRAP platform. They should 
 contain contact information\, a list of collaborators and key personnel\, 
 a letter of intent\, and supporting documents as suggested on the platform
