DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Peer Reviewed A
 lzheimer’s Research Program (PRARP) for 2018. The intent of the PRARP Ne
 w Investigator Research Award is to support early-career investigators int
 erested in novel research efforts or new technologies within traumatic bra
 in injury and Alzheimer’s disease. The research impact for the FY18 PRAR
 P NIRA is expected to benefit the military\, Veteran\, and civilian commun
 ities.\n \nApplications must address one or more of the FY18 PRARP NIRA O
 verarching Challenges. In addition\, applications should address at least 
 one of the following FY18 PRARP NIRA Focus Areas. These Challenges and Foc
 us Areas are listed at the end of this announcement.\n \nFunding: Maximum
  USD $ 225’000\n \nDuration: 3 years\n \nEligibility: Applicants from 
 international organizations or institutions are eligible to apply\, and th
 ere are no citizenship restrictions. Investigators must be independent\, b
 ut within 3 years of their first independent faculty position. Note that a
 pplicants will be required to verify PI eligibility for this award.\n \nH
