DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Epilepsy Resear
 ch Program (ERP) for 2018. The intent of the ERP Longitudinal Risk Factors
  Award is to support a large-scale\, prospective\, longitudinal epidemiolo
 gical research study that is relevant to the characterization of post-trau
 matic epilepsy.\n \nDue to the intent of this mechanism\, preliminary dat
 a are required.  In addition\, expedited access to an already identified\
 , suitable study cohort that will support the proposed hypothesis or hypot
 heses is required. \n \nThe research impact for the FY18 ERP LRFA is exp
 ected to benefit the military\, Veteran\, and civilian communities.  To t
 his end\, applications must address at least one of the FY18 ERP IDA Focus
  Areas.  The Focus Areas are listed at the end of this announcement.\n \
 nFunding: Maximum USD $ 2’500’000\n                 
       \nDuration: 4 years\n \nEligibility: Applicants from internat
 ional organizations or institutions are eligible to apply\, and there are 
 no citizenship restrictions. Investigators at or above the level of Assist
 ant Professor are eligible to apply.\n \nHow to Apply: Pre-applications a
 re submitted through the eBRAP platform. They should contain contact infor
 mation\, a list of collaborators and key personnel\, a preproposal narrati
 ve\, and supporting documents as suggested on the platform. Full applicati
