DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Kidney Cancer R
 esearch Program (KCRP) for 2018. The KCRP Concept Award supports highly in
 novative\, untested\, potentially groundbreaking novel concepts in kidney 
 cancer. The Concept Award is not intended to support an incremental progre
 ssion of an already established research project but\, instead\, allows Pr
 incipal Investigators (PIs) the opportunity to pursue serendipitous observ
 ations. This award mechanism supports high-risk studies that have the pote
 ntial to reveal entirely new avenues for investigation. The proposed resea
 rch must be relevant to active duty Service members\, Veterans\, military 
 beneficiaries\, and/or the American public.\n \nFunding: Maximum USD $ 75
 ’000\n \nDuration: 1 year\n \nEligibility: Applicants from internation
 al organizations or institutions are eligible to apply\, and there are no 
 citizenship restrictions. Investigators at the level of Postdoctoral assoc
 iate or higher are eligible to submit applications.  \n \nHow to Apply: 
 Pre-applications are submitted through the eBRAP platform. They should con

 etter of intent\, and supporting documents as suggested on the platform. F
