DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Lupus Research 
 Program (LRP) for 2018. The LRP Concept Award supports the exploration of 
 highly innovative new concepts or untested theories that address important
  problems relevant to lupus. This award mechanism supports high-risk\, hig
 h-reward studies that have the potential to reveal entirely new avenues fo
 r investigation.  \n \nThe proposed research must address at least one o
 f the FY18 LRP Focus Areas. The Focus Areas are listed at the end of this 
 announcement.\n \nFunding: Maximum USD $ 150’000\n \nDuration: 3 years
 \n \nEligibility: Applicants from international organizations or institut
 ions are eligible to apply\, and there are no citizenship restrictions. In
 vestigators at the level Postdoctoral associate or higher are eligible to 
 submit applications.  \n \nHow to Apply: Pre-applications are submitted 
 through the eBRAP platform. They should contain contact information\, a li
 st of collaborators and key personnel\, a letter of intent\, and supportin
 g documents as suggested on the platform. Full applications (by invitation
 ) will be made via a Grants.gov workspace. Full application packages can b
