DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Peer Reviewed O
 rthopaedic Research Program (PRORP) for 2018. The PRORP Clinical Translati
 onal Research Award is intended to support high-impact and/or new/emerging
  clinical research that may or may not be ready for a full-scale randomize
 d controlled clinical trial.  Projects should demonstrate potential to im
 pact the standard of care\, both immediate and long-term\, as well as cont
 ribute to evidence-based guidelines for the evaluation and care of militar
 y or Veteran patients with orthopaedic injuries. Funding from this award m
 echanism must support clinical research studies involving human subjects. 
 Inclusion of preliminary data relevant to the proposed clinical research i
 s also required.\n \nTo meet the intent of the award mechanism\, applicat
 ions must specifically address one primary FY18 PRORP CTRA Focus Area. The
 se Focus Areas are listed at the end of this announcement.\n \nFunding: M
 aximum USD $ 2’000’000\n \nDuration: 4 years\n \nEligibility: Applic
 ants from international organizations or institutions are eligible to appl
 y\, and there are no citizenship restrictions. Independent investigators a
 t any level are eligible to apply.\n \nHow to Apply: Pre-applications are
  submitted through the eBRAP platform. They should contain contact informa
 tion\, a list of collaborators and key personnel\, a preproposal narrative
 \, and supporting documents as suggested on the platform. Full application
