DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Breast Cancer B
 reakthrough Awards. The intent of these Awards is to support promising res
 earch that has high potential to lead to or make breakthroughs in breast c
 ancer. Scope: Research proposed under this award mechanism may be small- t
 o large-scale projects\, at different stages of idea and research developm
 ent. Two different funding levels\, based on the scope of the research\, a
 re available under this Program Announcement: Funding Levels 3 and 4.\n•
     Funding Level 3: Advanced translational studies that have potential 
 for near-term clinical investigation. Small-scale clinical trials may appl
 y.\n•    Funding Level 4: Large-scale projects that will transform and
  revolutionize the clinical management and/or prevention of breast cancer.
  Near-term clinical impact is expected. Human clinical testing is required
 . PIs are expected to have experience in successfully leading large-scale 
 projects.\n \nFunding:       Maximum USD $2’500’000 (Level 3)\n

 vel 4)\n \nEligibility: Applicants from international organizations or in
 stitutions are eligible to apply\, and there are no citizenship restrictio
 ns. Academics at all levels are eligible to apply.\n \nHow to Apply: Pre-
 applications are submitted through the eBRAP platform. They should contain
  contact information\, a pre-proposal narrative\, supporting documentation
 \, and a list of collaborators and key personnel as suggested on the platf
