DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Breast Cancer B
 reakthrough Awards. The intent of these Awards is to support promising res
 earch that has high potential to lead to or make breakthroughs in breast c
 ancer. Scope: Research proposed under this award mechanism may be small- t
 o large-scale projects\, at different stages of idea and research developm
 ent. Two different funding levels\, based on the scope of the research\, a
 re available under this Program Announcement: Funding Levels 1 and 2.\n\n	
 Funding Level 1: Innovative\, high-risk/high-reward research that is in th
 e earliest stages of idea development. Research with potential to yield ne
 w avenues of investigation. Proof of concept. No preliminary data required
 .\n	Funding Level 2: Research that is already supported by preliminary dat
 a and has potential to make significant advancements toward clinical trans
 lation.\n\nFunding:       Maximum USD $375’000 (Level 1)\n    
                   Maximum USD $750’000 (Level 2)\n \nD
 uration:      3 years\n \nEligibility: Applicants from international 
 organizations or institutions are eligible to apply\, and there are no cit
 izenship restrictions. Investigators at all levels\, including senior post
 docs\, are eligible to apply.\n \nHow to Apply: Pre-applications are subm
 itted through the eBRAP platform. They should contain contact information\
 , a letter of intent\, and a list of collaborators and key personnel as su
 ggested on the platform. Full applications (by invitation) will be made vi
