DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Accelerating In
 novation in Miliatry Medicine (AIMM) Research Award. This award will suppo
 rt highly creative and conceptually innovative high-risk research with the
  potential to accelerate critical discoveries or major advancements that w
 ill significantly impact military health and medicine. AIMM initiative fun
 ding supports novel research concepts and other efforts that initiate or e
 nhance potential game-changers that may not be supported by other funding 
 mechanisms or core programs. Applications using synthetic or systems biolo
 gy-based approaches or focused on autonomous healthcare are highly encoura
 ged.\n \nThe proposed research is expected to make an important and origi
 nal contribution to advancing solutions relevant to military health and me
 dicine and ultimately lead to improved outcomes for Service members\, Vete
 rans\, or military beneficiaries and the general public. The ultimate impa
 ct or outcomes of projects proposed under the AIMM Research Award should h
 elp to accelerate progress in at least one of the Department of Defense (D
 oD) medical research program areas:\n \n\n	Medical Simulation and Informa
 tion Sciences\n	Military Infectious Diseases\n	Military Operational Medici
 ne\n	Combat Casualty Care\n	Radiation Health Effects\n	Clinical and Rehabi
 litative Medicine\n\n \nFunding: Maximum USD $350’000\n \nDuration: 18
  months\n \nEligibility: Applicants from international organizations or i
 nstitutions are eligible to apply\, and there are no citizenship restricti
 ons. Applicants must be independent investigators\, but can come from any 
 academic level.\n \nHow to Apply: Pre-applications are submitted through 
 the eBRAP platform. They should contain contact information\, a list of co
 llaborators and key personnel\, a preproposal narrative\, and supporting d
 ocumentation as suggested on the platform. Full applications (by invitatio
