DESCRIPTION:Aim: The Michael J. Fox Foundation seeks applications with pot
 ential for fundamentally altering disease course and/or significantly impr
 oving treatment of symptoms above and beyond current standards of care. Pr
 oposals must have a well-defined plan for moving toward clinical utility f
 or patients. The Therapeutic Pipeline Program is open to industry and acad
 emic investigators proposing novel approaches or repositioning approved or
  clinically safe therapies from non-PD indications. The Therapeutic Pipeli
 ne Program advances Parkinson's disease therapeutic development along the 
 pre-clinical and clinical path (both drug and non-pharmacological therapeu
 tics\, including gene therapy\, biological\, surgical and non-invasive app
 roaches).\n \nTherapeutic Pipeline awards support prospective studies or 
 retrospective studies utilizing existing data in human biofluids. Full det
