 of the reality of ITER from views of the work site and from manufacturing 
 facilities around the world. Then I describe the top-level view of the ITE
 R Research Plan that was revised in 2017\, and go through the main objecti
 ves of each phase\, so that the audience has a feel for how we will get fr
 om First Plasma to Q=10 and steady-state Q=5. I will try to highlight Phys
 ics R&D needs and try especially to point to things where TCV can contribu
 te.\n
