 nics group of EPFL are co-hosting\, for the first time\, an event which ai
 ms to showcase innovative technologies in the field of Geo-technical Engin
 eering. The event brings Swiss start-ups\, practitioners\, scientists and 
 renowned guests from abroad together\, for two days at the Swiss Tech conv
 ention center. The first day features a short course on "Numerical Methods
  in Geotechnical Engineerg"\, given by EPFL Proffesors. The second day kic
 ks-off with Dr. Suzanne Lacasse from the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute 
 and her talk on “Innovation Related to Slope Safety”. The day continue
 s with Dr. Brian Simpson from ARUP and his talk on “Recent Thinking o
 n Design for Situations dominated by Water Pressure”.
