DESCRIPTION:Valentin Khoze (Durham University)\nI will consider multi-part
icle production rates in a weakly coupled quantum field theory with a mass
ive  elementary Higgs-like scalar. The theory enters the Higgsplosion reg
ime when the n-particle production rates for n>>1 become unsuppressed at s
ufficiently high energies and multiplicities. I will introduce Higgsplosio
n and discuss its conjectured interpretations and  consequences for the t
heory. In the second half of the talk I will explain how Higgsplosion can
be justified using semiclassical methods\, and present conclusions.
