DESCRIPTION:The Wellcome Trust “Collaborative Awards in Science” suppo
 rt Basic and clinical research in any disciplines carried out by a team of
  researchers\, working together on the most important scientific problems 
 to improve health for everyone. \nInterdisciplinary projects across Scienc
 e\, Humanities and Social Science and Innovations teams are encouraged.\n
  \nWho can apply\n\n	The PI must be based in UK\, Ireland or a Low or Mid
 dle income country.\n	Swiss-based researchers can only join a consortium i
 f they bring essential expertise or resources.\n	The consortium must have 
 between 2-7members.\n	Applicants must hold an academic or research post (o
 r equivalent) and have their salary covered through other sources for the 
 duration of the grant.\n\n \nFunding & Duration: Max. £4 million for up 
 to 5 years\n \nFor what\n\n\n	Personnel (salary for all research staff in
 volved\; excluding the PI and Co-PIs)\n	Other: materials and consumables\,
  animals\, purchase of essential equipment (incl. VAT\; if equipment > CHF
  100’000 25% of its cost must be covered with own funding)\, one persona
 l computer or laptop per person\, access to essential equipment or facilit
 ies\, travel\, conference and subsistence costs\, field research\, publica
 tions\, other.\n	Does NOT cover: overhead\, open access article processing
  charges and\, for researchers outside of the UK\, clinical studies or tri
