 is our pleasure to announce another event at the Digital and Cognitive Mus
 icology Lab (DCML): a three-day workshop titled “Voice-leading schemata 
 in theory\, corpus research\, and practical composition (Compose your own 
 Chopin!)”. The workshop will take place from September 18-20\, featuring
  the following speakers: Uri Rom\, Nathan Martin\, Felix Diergarten\, Davi
 d Sears\, Martin Rohrmeier\, Markus Neuwirth\, and Christoph Finkensiep. A

 o the Beatles – Exploring compositional building blocks and musical styl
 e change with hermeneutic and computational methods” funded by the Volks
 wagen Foundation in the context of the ‘Mixed Methods’ in the Humaniti
 es program.\n \nWe would like to draw particular attention to the talks a
 nd the panel discussion on Wednesday (Sept 19)\, which will address core i
 ssues of (musical) corpus research\, the mixed-methods framework\, and the
  relationship between “close” and “distant listening.”\n \nWe are
