 isk factor for most human diseases including neurodegeneration and has bee
 n identified as one of the major challenges for modern societies. Aging ca
 n be defined as the progressive decline in the ability of a cell or an org
 anism to resist damage\, stress and disease. Unfortunately\, despite decad
 es of research\, the process of aging remains poorly understood. Epigeneti
 c dysregulation has recently emerged as potential driver of the aging proc
 ess. In this line\, we have demonstrated that epigenetic reprogramming can
  lead to the amelioration of age-associated phenotypes. Understanding the 
 role of epigenetic dysregulation as driver of aging and disease will allow
  the development of novel strategies based on epigenetic reprograming to p
 revent or revert the manifestation of aging and disease phenotypes.\n
