DESCRIPTION:\nThe School of Engineering of EPFL is pleased to launch the a
 nnual PhD Summit initiative\, a workshop for final year PhD students inter
 ested in a career in academia. We invite to campus\, on a competitive basi
 s\, a group of exceptional graduating PhD students from institutions world
 wide.\nIn this inaugural first edition\, the Engineering PhD Summit will f
 ocus on\n« Data Driven Engineering in the Life Sciences »\nSelected ca
 ndidates will be invited to EPFL Switzerland where they will get the oppor
 tunity to present their research and get informal feedback from top facult
 y of the School of Engineering and the School of Life Sciences of EPFL. Ea
 ch accepted student will be given the opportunity to visit EPFL laboratori
 es related to summit theme and have intensive exchange with the lab head a
 nd the students. The PhD Summit prize for the best presentation and resear
 ch content will be awarded during the summit.\nFunds for travel and accomm
 odation will be provided for the selected candidates.\nThe Engineering PhD
  Summit is sponsored by the School of Life Sciences.\n
