CATEGORIES:Conferences - Seminars
DESCRIPTION:Created to further energy efficiency and the use of renewables
in the built environment\, the international CISBAT conference offers a d
ynamic scientific exchange platform in fields ranging from nanostructured
materials for renewable energy applications to urban energy systems.\n \n
The conference bi-annually assembles two to three hundred scientists from
universities and companies around the world at EPFL\, with the financial s
upport of the Swiss Federal Office of Energy. Academic partners of the con
ference are specialists from the University of Cambridge and the MIT as we
ll as the Swiss chapter of the International Building Performance Simulati
on Association IBPSA\, backed by a strong international scientific committ
ee. CISBAT also serves as an official platform of the Swiss Competence Cen
ter for Energy Research (SCCER) "Future Energy Efficient Buildings & Distr
icts" (FEEB&D)\n\nCall topics:\n\n	Smart materials for building envelopes
(micro- and nanotechnologies)\n	Climate resilient buildings (ecobuildings\
, retrofit\, performance gap)\n	Daylighting & electric lighting (human cen
tric & green lighting)\n	Human & building interaction (user centered syste
 ms\, behavioral aspects)\n	Building simulation & ICT (design\, optimisatio
n\, analysis) – IBPSA special session\n	Renewable energy in the built en
vironment (electricity\, heating and cooling)\n	Smart buildings & district
s (predictive & adaptive control)\n	Data driven methods for the built envi
ronment (regional planning\, big data and machine learning)\n	Urban climat
 e modelling (building energy demand\, outdoor comfort\, urban planning)\n
Distributed energy systems (urban energy hubs)\n
