DESCRIPTION:Aim:  An Exploration Grant application is a request for fund
 ing by an experienced project leader in the areas of conservation\, educat
 ion\, research\, storytelling\, and technology. The applicant and his or h
 er team members are expected to demonstrate successful completion of simil
 ar projects with measurable and/or tangible results.\n \nAll proposed pro
 jects should be bold\, innovative\, and potentially transformative. Projec
 ts should also align to one of our three focus areas: Wildlife\, Human Jou
 rney\, or Changing Planet.\n \nWe do not usually consider applications th
 at support strictly laboratory or collections work. Grants are awarded on 
 the basis of merit and exist independent of the Society's other divisions.
