DESCRIPTION:The European Hematology Association (EHA) fosters basic\, tran
 slational and clinical research in hematology in Europe by supporting post
 doctoral researchers in advancing their career (e.g. towards becoming the 
 leader of a research group).\nEHA offers 3 types of grants:\n \n\n1.  
   Physician Scientist Research Grant\n\n\nWho can apply:\n\n	Physician s
 cientists (MD or equivalent) within 4 years after PhD graduation OR gradua
 tion of hematology training (or equivalent).\n	With a proven track record 
 in research (as shown by a relevant publications list).\n	Must have at lea
 st 50% protected time (to be justified in the institutional letter of supp
 ort).\n\nFunding & Duration: € 160’000 for 24 months.\nResearch projec
 t: it is highly preferred that the topic of research is related to the spe
 cialty in the clinic.\n \n\n2.    Junior Research Grant\n\nWho can ap
 ply: basic researchers within 4 years after PhD graduation (exceptions mus
 t be justified).\nFunding & Duration: € 100’000 for 24 months.\n \n\n
 3.    Advanced Research Grant\n\nWho can apply: basic researchers 4-8 
 years after PhD graduation (exceptions must be justified).\nFunding & Dura
 tion: € 160’000 for 24 months.\n \nEligible costs:\n\n\n	Consumables\
 , travel/congresses\, personnel costs\, publication costs + max. CHF 2’0
 00 for end of project audit.\n	Does NOT cover overheads.\n	Note: the budge
 t submitted at the proposal stage determines the use of funds (no flexibil
