DESCRIPTION:The goal of the FAMAE Foundation is to seek pragmatic\, effici
 ent\, durable\, universal and money-saving solutions to make life easier f
 or urban citizens while reducing their environmental footprint. The Founda
 tion launches annual international competitions to enable brilliant and in
 novative inventors to make their ideas come true or to effectively launch 
 their product.\n \nThe 2019 competition "PRECIOUS WATER!" targets brillia
 nt ideas\, prototypes\, products or services addressing all types of issue
 s related to water: improved access\, quality / cleanliness\, sanitation\,
  grey / black water treatment\, fighting scarcity\, better use / consumpti
 on of water\, fighting water pollution\, sustainable textile or cosmetics 
 to reduce water drain\, among others. Issues related to water-related cata
 strophic events (e.g. tsunami and floods) may be accepted in exceptional c
 ases.\n \nThe challenge is open to disruptive projects\, either emerging 
 or mature.\n \nSeed funding: max. € 2 million (with the max. amount bei
 ng awarded only if a single project is selected)\n\n	Eligible costs: proje
 ct related expenses (e.g. further R&D expenses\, test protocol costs\, per
 sonnel and marketing expenses).\n	Complementary support: access to FAMAE b
 usiness network and support with legal / trade and financial aspects\, or 
 product development and manufacturing / suppliers’ sourcing.\n\n \nWho 
 can apply:\n\n\n	Teams of candidates from Education (e.g. students\, profe
 ssors\, researchers)\, Business (e.g. start-ups\, SMEs) and Philanthropy (
 e.g. social entrepreneurs\, NGOs).\n\n\n\n	Candidates cannot have two appl
