DESCRIPTION:The “Manufacturing technologies” impulse programme funds i
nnovation projects at the interface between research and technology transf
ers that Swiss companies conduct together with research institutions in th
e digitally-oriented "Industry 4.0 and Modern manufacturing technologies"
segment.\n \nSubmission deadlines: There will be two calls for proposals
depending on the project duration\n \nProject Duration
                    18 Months
                           12 Months\nCall for pro
 posal starts                 27.11.2018
                                27.11.2018\nD
 eadline submission                    21.1.2019

  20.5.2019\nDecision
                 Beginning of March 2019
       Beginning of September 2019\nProject start

  1.11.2019\nProject end
             31.10.2020
                     31.10.2020\n\nFunding: The same con
ditions apply as for Innosuisse’s regular innovation project funding. \
n \nSpecial Funding criteria: \nExploratory projects: Preference for fund
ing will be given to exploratory projects at the interface between researc
h and technology transfer\, in which larger consortia or research associat
ions work together with interdisciplinary teams from the worlds of researc
h and industry.\n \nCreate quantitative advantages or new production oppo
rtunities: The projects are intended to provide the Swiss economy with qua
ntitative advantages such as increased productivity\, production flexibili
ty (e.g. shorter changeover times) or increased uptime as well as new prod
uction possibilities.\n \n50% share can be reduced: The usual rules requi
ring a contribution of at least 50% to the project costs by the implementa
tion partners can be reduced as a result of a case-by-case basis if the pr
ojects are particularly innovative and have above-average potential for su
ccess or their results could benefit a wide range of users.\n \nComparati
vely higher material costs are eligible for funding: Comparatively higher
proportions of material costs in the total costs are also generally eligib
le for funding for exploratory consortium projects\, provided that the cos
ts flow into pilot and demonstration systems with broader benefits\, for e
xample\, and are reasonable in proportion to staff expenses.\n \nGood opp
ortunities for follow-up projects: Due to their exploratory and consortium
character\, high-quality projects with a correspondingly successful cours
e are expected to have good opportunities for follow-up projects with spec
ific applications for individual implementation partners.\n \nEach projec
t should feature (though these are not prerequisites):\n\n	more than one i
mplementation partner (including at least one SME)\n	value chain coverage
by a number of implementation partners\n	more than one research partner\,
at least one of which is a university of applied sciences\n\n \nMore info
rmation are available at:\n\n\n	Innosuisse website\n	FAQ on the impulse pr
 ogramme\n\nContact: research@epfl.ch for administrative\, financial\, ethi
cs and legal assistance.\nInnosuisse contact: Dannie Jost\, Scientific Off
