DESCRIPTION:Fondation Pierre Mercier pour la Science supports:\n\n	Origina
 l scientific basic\, applied or clinical biomedical research\;\n	Projects 
 aiming at remedying the imbalance caused by industrialization on ecology a
 nd health.\n	Preference is given to projects with applications in the shor
 t and medium term.\n	Research must be conducted for the most part in Switz
 erland.\n\n \nWho can apply: researchers (e.g. PATT\, SNSF-funded Profess
 ors\, Adjunct Professors) whose career as leaders of a research group woul
 d be boosted by the Foundation’s support.\n \nWho cannot apply: \n\n\n	
 Students\n	PhD students\n	Postdoctoral researchers\n	Well-established rese
 archers\n\n \nFunding & Duration: up to CHF 150'000-250’000 for to 2-3 
 years.\n \nInternal Deadline: 21 May and 21 November (every year)\nSubmit

 upport (compulsory)\nCall Deadline: 1 June and 1 December (every year)\nSu

 ployment relationship with EPFL\n	Budget\n\nThe Board of the Foundation in
 vites shortlisted candidates for a 10-minute interview followed by a 5-min
